Welcome to the ProPilates Teacher Training University. Our program is based on the True Pilates Method of body conditioning as developed by Joseph Pilates and carried on by master teacher Romana Kryzanowska in its unchanged form. Our Teacher Training Program is taught by Tonka Cascais who is a second-generation Pilates Teacher Trainer, trained by Romana Kryzanowska. Tonka was a Level 3 Teacher Trainer and was responsible for training new instructors in South Florida for Romana’s Pilates from 2003-2008. Tonka brought her knowledge and training to ProPilates in 2000. She has integrated her personal experiences with her training from Romana and developed the ProPilates Teacher Training University.
ProPilates Classical Teacher Training Program is an interactive program designed for students to actively participate in and obtain hands-on knowledge of the exercise from application through modification and execution. Our focus is on:
- Detail of movement with a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology and application of all Pilates principals and concepts;
- Full understanding of all Pilates apparatuses and exercises performed in a system tailored for each individual’s needs;
- Injury prevention, as well as strengthening and conditioning, for pre and post-surgery rehabilitation;
- Experiencing Pilates as it was meant to be by the creator of the Pilates Method of body conditioning, Joseph Pilates.
We are committed to provide to you the highest level of Pilates Education as well as teaching tools to change lives and help us achieve our goal to change the world. We look forward to making you a part of the ProPilates community.
